HOLOCYCLE

An incubator for authors, the Center for the Higher Studies of Conscientiology (CEAEC) features a specialized environment for knowledge production: the Holocycle, a mega-technical-scientific laboratory where leading-edge research on the consciousness, the intelligent and immaterial principle of individuals, has been conducted since 2000.

Prominent among the investigations conducted are those related to the elaboration of the Encyclopedia of Conscientiology, a work that began in 1998 and is dedicated to the in-depth study of the human personality from a multidimensional perspective – beyond the physical dimension in which we live.

The Encyclopedia of Conscientiology is a collection of analyses and syntheses of the intellectual work of Waldo Vieira, accumulated, developed, and updated since the formation of his personal library in 1941.

With the use of innovative techniques for writing and information systematization, Vieira, in conjunction with a team of researchers, writes detailed and exhaustive entries. The theme of reurbanization, concerning the improvement of environments and consciousnesses, gave rise to the book Homo sapiens reurbanisatus, with 1,584 pages and 7,653 references, released in 2003. This work serves as a model for other publications in preparation, such as Homo sapiens pacificus, related to pacifism, and Homo sapiens neonatus, relating to newborns. In the Holocycle, texts are also being produced to guide the elaboration of the Encyclopedia itself, including “Foundations of the Encyclopedia” and “Redactional Formulas.”

Starting from the premise that there is no comprehensive culture without continuous consultation of hundreds of reference works, the Holocycle maintains three main collections that are constantly expanding: the Lexicotheca, which includes approximately 5,100 dictionaries; the Hemerotheca, with over 417,000 clippings from newspapers and magazines; and the Encyclotheca, which contains dozens of encyclopedias. The Holocycle also supports research through 275 other collections of artifacts of knowledge from CEAEC.

The Lexicotheca collection consists of dictionaries in various languages and on various topics, including Biographies, Sciences, Etymology, Psychology, History, and more. For the compilation of articles, the Hemerotheca receives newspapers and magazines from major Brazilian cities and several countries abroad, totaling more than 650 different collections of periodicals.

The importance attributed to news articles is associated with the idea that facts guide research in Conscientiology. Many of the events reported in clippings from newspapers and magazines are sources of relevant issues and correlations for the study of the consciousness. Selection is made through the Cosmogram technique, which is used to relate the subject of the articles to different Conscientiology themes.

Dictionaries, in turn, assist in interpreting the facts and the precision of the meanings used in the texts. Other bibliographical sources contribute to the grounding, enrichment, and expansion of the proposed approaches by providing relevant concepts and data.

The support structure for the elaboration of the Encyclopedia of Conscienciology involves the participation of 232 volunteers who are part of 37 specialized teams in the Holocycle, including bibliographers, definers, writers, lexicographers, linguists, neologists, reviewers, and translators.

The team of indexers, for example, assists in the meticulous gathering of bibliographical information for the creation of references used in the Encyclopedia, allowing for a broader overview of the universe under analysis.

Volunteer activities at the Holocycle have led many researchers to develop self-knowledge, focused attention, critical detail-oriented thinking, analytical skills, a continuous state of good humor, perseverance, and rationality.

The aim of the Holocycle is to enable each volunteer to improve their inner universe and practice productive and fraternal interaction with other volunteers. In this way, the location functions as a laboratory for research and useful assistance to those interested in the study of the consciousness.

The synthesis of the objectives of the Encyclopedia of Conscientiology is, according to Waldo Vieira, the same as that of human life: to help people perform their existential programs in the best way possible, in order to achieve their constructive personal goals set for this existence.

HOLOTHECA

The Holotheca of the Center for the Higher Studies of Conscientiology (CEAEC) is a cultural environment designed for research and the exhibition of artifacts of knowledge. It includes compendiums, films, stamps, coins, shells, photographs, records about notable figures and inventions that have stood out over time.

In the Holotheca – from the Greek “holos,” meaning “total, whole, complete,” and “theke,” meaning “collection, place for storing collections” – there are more than 900,000 items, including objects and books written in 20 languages, from 54 countries.

All of this invaluable cultural heritage is categorized into 276 collections of artifacts of knowledge (thecas), including the Library, Comic Book Library, Periodical Library (Periodicotheca), Shell Collection, Numismatics Collection, and the Chinese Cultural Collection (Sinotheca).

Artifacts of knowledge are considered resources for expanding consciential attributes, such as intellect, associating ideas, discernment, memory, and more. They function as tools for evolution, creating opportunities for self-evolution for those who prioritize self-study. For example, the classification and study of stamps, gathered in the Philately Collection (Philateliotheca), stimulate the development of reasoning, focused attention, critical judgment, and organization, among other attributes of the consciousness.

The practice of collecting requires attention to detail and exhaustiveness regarding the unique characteristics of each stamp, such as shape, color, watermark, perforation, design, and inscription.

The gathering of artifacts of knowledge in one place makes the Holotheca a center of science, a meeting point and interaction hub for researchers and scholars from various fields of human knowledge, seeking clarification about the facts of the multidimensional universe.

Visits and Hours
A visit to the Holotheca can transform the way objects in your surroundings are perceived. The exhibitions in this environment aim to capture the inquisitive and detail-oriented gaze of cultural artifacts to unveil a world of knowledge that is generally less explored.

The Holotheca – a documentation center of Conscientiology or a megacenter of artifacts of knowledge – is open to the public daily for visits from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
